1. What makes Wazen’s teas different from others?

Our teas are authentic, directly sourced from a family-run farm in Kyoto, Japan, ensuring freshness and quality. We also prioritize sustainability with 100% biodegradable tea bags and eco-friendly delivery options. Every cup embodies the harmony of Japanese tea culture and our commitment to the planet.


2. Are Wazen’s tea bags safe and eco-friendly?

Yes! Our tea bags are made from vegetable-based fibers, making them 100% biodegradable and non-toxic. You can enjoy your tea knowing it’s safe for you and the environment.


3. How should I brew Wazen teas?

Here are the recommended brewing instructions:

  • Houjicha: Brew at 90°C (194°F) for 30–45 seconds for a toasty, nutty flavor.
  • Genmaicha: Brew at 80°C (176°F) for 45 seconds to 1 minute for a balanced, grassy, and roasted flavor.
  • Kabuse Sencha: Brew at 70°C (158°F) for 1–1.5 minutes to bring out its rich umami flavor.Feel free to adjust to your taste preference!

4. Can your teas be brewed cold?

Absolutely! All our teas are perfect for cold brewing:

  • Place 1 teabag in 500ml of water.
  • Refrigerate for 6–8 hours.
  • Enjoy a refreshing, smooth cup of cold tea, ideal for hot days!

5. Are Wazen’s teas suitable for gifts?

Yes, our teas make excellent gifts! With their authentic Japanese origin, eco-friendly packaging, and versatile flavor profiles, they are perfect for tea lovers, corporate gifts, or any special occasion.


6. What is the caffeine content of your teas?

  • Houjicha: Low caffeine, great for evenings or those sensitive to caffeine.
  • Genmaicha: Moderate caffeine, perfect for daytime enjoyment.
  • Kabuse Sencha: Moderate caffeine with a calming effect due to its high L-Theanine content.

7. Do you ship outside Singapore?

Currently, we only deliver within Singapore. However, we’re working on expanding our shipping options, so stay tuned!


8. How do you ensure the freshness of your teas?

Our teas are freshly harvested and carefully packaged at the source in Kyoto, Japan. We only stock small batches to ensure that every pack you receive is as fresh as possible.


9. Do you offer subscription services?

Not yet, but we’re considering it! Let us know if you’d be interested in a monthly tea subscription, and we’ll prioritize launching this feature based on demand.
